The same party that tells you election fraud doesn't exist, that voter ID is "racist," and that the SAVE Act — which simply requires proof of citizenship to vote — is somehow an attack on democracy, is now openly demanding that immigration enforcement be banned from polling locations.
For those unfamiliar, the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would require individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. It's a straightforward measure that the overwhelming majority of Americans — including many Democrats in private polling — support.
But here's the thing: if only American citizens are voting, as Democrats constantly claim, why would they care if ICE is present near polling sites? Why would this be a "demand" they refuse to bend on?
The answer is painfully obvious to anyone paying attention.
Under the Biden administration's catastrophic open-border policies, an estimated 10 million illegal immigrants flooded into this country. Many blue states have made it absurdly easy to register to vote through motor-voter laws that ask — but don't verify — citizenship status.
Now, with President Trump back in the White House and his administration finally cracking down on illegal immigration through mass deportations, Democrats are scrambling to protect what they see as their future voter base.
This isn't about protecting legitimate voters from "intimidation," as they'll inevitably claim. American citizens have nothing to fear from ICE. This is about ensuring that non-citizens who may have fraudulently registered can cast ballots without any risk of detection.
