Oil prices appear to react toDonald Trump's latest remarks on how the war in Iran is going. The US President said on Monday evening that the war in Iranwas "very complete", suggesting that Operation Epic Fury could end soon. Shortly afterwards, the price of crude oil tumbled to $85.07 per barrel, -6.40% compared to the previous day.
The benchmark oil price, Brent crude, also dropped by -4.49%, to 8.533. This comes as, on the weekend, the Iran crisis saw oil prices spike to nearly $120 per barrel. This came after Mr Trump saidthe war with Iran is coming to an endas US forces have destroyed Tehran's navy and air force, he claimed.

He told GB News: "I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no navy, no communications, they've got no air force. Their missiles are down to a scatter.
"Their drones are being blown up all over the place, including their manufacturing of drones. If you look, they have nothing left. There's nothing left in a military sense."
However, during a speech to a conference of congressional Republicans at his golf course Miami, Mr Trump saidthe US hasn't "won enough" in Iran.
He said: "We took a little excursion because we felt we had to do that to get rid of some evil. Then, I think you'll see it's going to be a short-term excursion.
"We've already won in many ways, but we haven't won enough. We go forward, more determined than ever to achieve ultimate victory that will end this long-running danger once and for all."
Then, just moments later,he said the war isn't complete, but will "be finished pretty quickly". He added: "Within a week they were going to attack us 100%. They were ready.
