President Donald Trump’s decision to ease sanctions on Russian fuel risks injecting billions into Moscow’s war machine, weakening Ukraine’s position and adding to the pressure on President Volodymyr Zelensky. As the fallout from the US-Israeli war with Iran spreads, Trump’s proposed “energy ceasefire” between Russia and Ukraine appears to have done little to calm tensions, with Russian forces striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure shortly after Kyiv signalled its willingness to comply. Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi rebels are escalating attacks on Saudi oil tankers and energy facilities, with drones and missiles also targeting Riyadh’s international airport. As oil prices surge and instability spreads across the region, Trump’s efforts to ease pressure at the pump risk producing the opposite result. Piers Morgan is joined by political scientist and global security scholar Robert Pape; Robert Harward, former Deputy Commander of US Central Command and member of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America’s Iran Policy Project; Alan Eyre, former Persian-language spokesman for the US State Department; Aaron Maté, journalist with The Grayzone; and Mohammed Marandi, professor at the University of Tehran, to debate the escalating conflict and its global consequences. Then, Piers welcomes History Uncensored hosts Bianca Nobilo and Tim Marshall to Uncensored.
