A formal complaint filed with the New York City Department of Education and Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels alleges that Mia Kurzer, a special education teacher at The Heritage School in East Harlem, joined protesters who overran an October 7 vigil in Union Square and wore a keffiyeh to school earlier that day. The complaint, filed by Jewish educator Moshe Spern, says it continues a pattern of conduct dating to 2025.
