The mullahs in Tehran are learning a brutal lesson about what happens when you threaten America under a president who actually means business.
President Donald Trump delivered a triumphant address Monday evening, walking out to Lee Greenwood's iconic "God Bless the USA" before dropping bombshell after bombshell about the stunning success of Operation Epic Fury – the ongoing military campaign that has brought the Iranian regime to its knees.
"Iran's drone and missile capability is being utterly demolished," Trump declared to a room full of Republican leaders. "The Navy is gone. It's all lying at the bottom of the ocean – 46 ships. Can you believe it? We knocked out 46, it actually took three and a half days."
Three and a half days, folks. That's how long it took the greatest military force on Earth to send nearly fifty Iranian vessels to a watery grave.
Trump reminded Americans that this decisive action follows the earlier Operation Midnight Hammer, which eliminated Iran's nuclear capabilities just as the regime stood on the precipice of obtaining a weapon of mass destruction.
"That was a big day, because if we didn't do that, they would have had a nuclear weapon within two weeks," the President explained. "I think we'd be in a lot different situation."
Let that sink in. Two weeks. That's how close the Biden administration's disastrous appeasement policies brought us to a nuclear-armed Iran. While Joe Biden was busy sending pallets of cash to Tehran and begging for a new nuclear deal, the ayatollahs were sprinting toward the bomb.
It took Donald Trump returning to the Oval Office to do what needed to be done.
The Commander-in-Chief made clear that the decapitation of Iran's terror infrastructure is ongoing and relentless.
"Their terrorist leaders are gone, or counting down the minutes until they will be gone," Trump stated. "They've had new leaders, and now, nobody has any idea... people aren't going to be the head of the country. And we will not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated."
