A MAN met a tragic end after cutting off his penis and bleeding to death in downtown Los Angeles.
Horrified cops discovered a gruesome scene as the man also sliced his throat, stabbed himself and tried to cut off his own arm.
They had responded to a call about a man self-mutilating in the street at 3:40am on Saturday morning, according toTMZ.
A white tent was swiftly erected as officers dealt with the horrific incident, protecting bystanders from seeing the body.
But a videographer was still able to capture unobstructed pools of blood staining the pavement.
Graphic footage also reportedly showed what appeared to be a large wound in the man’s groin area.

The LAPoliceDepartment is handling a probe into the incident, which happened at the intersection of Figuerora Street and Pico Boulevard, near the LA Convention Centre.
Officers say they do not know the man’s motivation for harming himself, or whether he was on drugs at the time.
