Sharing a nostalgic throwback, celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar praised one of her earliest clients, former Bollywood actor Farha, for going for a slow and sustainable way to lose weight after her pregnancy – describing the process as “pathbreaking” for those times.
The actor, known for films likeNaseeb Apna ApnaandYateem, according to Diwekar, did not follow the easy and rapid “bounce-back” transformations after pregnancy but went with patience for her health and long-term well-being.

Rujuta posted about Farha on her Instagram stories
Rujuta shared a photo from a celebratory dinner in Mumbai, recalling how Farha’s weight-loss journey happened years ago - long before conversations about healthy postpartum recovery became mainstream. According to Rujuta, Farha wasn’t just a client but also a mentor figure who played an important role in shaping her early career in nutrition.
“In every working woman’s life there’s a guardian angel,” Rujuta wrote, describing Farha as one of her first clients and someone who trusted her approach to fitness and health.
At a time when Bollywood often expected actresses to return to their pre-pregnancy bodies almost immediately, Farha chose a different path. Instead of resorting to extreme diets or quick fixes to secure film roles, she prioritised gradual recovery and sustainable weight loss.
Rujuta emphasised that Farha’s approach was remarkable because it focused on health first, appearance second. According to the nutritionist, Farha had both the strength and patience to lose weight the “right way,” without putting her body under unnecessary stress.
Crash dieting after childbirth can disrupt metabolism, affect energy levels, and even impact the health of the newborn if the mother is breastfeeding. By avoiding extreme measures, Farha protected both her long-term health and her ability to care for her child. Rujuta highlighted that patience can often be a “superpower,” especially in a world that constantly pushes quick results.
The tribute also carried a deeper message about how society views women’s bodies after childbirth.
