A photograph that appears to showAndrew Mountbatten-Windsorwith a victim of Jeffrey Epstein on his lap has been released by the United States Department of Justice.

The image shows a man wearing a blue shirt and a grey hooded jacket with his arms around a blonde female, whose age is unknown, sitting on his lap. The man, who is sitting in the paedophile’s Manhattan mansion, appears to resemble the former Duke of York.

A second photograph shows the same man seated with a different young woman standing behind him with her arms wrapped around his neck. Like all women, deemed to be victims ofEpsteinby the Department of Justice (DoJ), the two females have had their faces redacted by officials.

The images, which are small and low resolution, appear to have been taken inside the dining room of Epstein’s New York townhouse. They are among approximately 180,000 photographs released by the Department of Justice under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Mountbatten-Windsor, 66, visited Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse for a week-long stay in December 2010. The disgraced prince claimed in a 2019 BBCNewsnightinterview that he made the trip because he was “too honourable” not to say goodbye to the convicted paedophile in person.

However, correspondence and documents released by the DoJ show the pair spent the trip socialising and remained in contact long afterwards. One photograph, released in January, shows Mountbatten-Windsor on all fours leaning over a young woman. The image is believed to have been taken in the same dining room of Epstein’s New York home during the 2010 visit.

Investigators have noted that the former duke appears to be wearing a similar pair of jeans to those he wore while photographed walking in Central Park on December 2, 2010.

A distinctive red-and-white striped tablecloth is also visible on the dining table behind him. Mountbatten-Windsor’s removal from public life began after he was accused by Virginia Giuffre of sexually abusing her when she was 17 after she was “loaned out” to him by Epstein.
