More explosions have been reported in the UAE following numerous Iranian strikes on Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other cities in recent days.

The Emirati military confirmed on Monday that "air defences successfully intercepted Iranian ballistic and cruise missiles and drones".

Social media users reported blasts over Fujairah in the east of the UAE on Monday.

Blasts have also been reported in Qatar and Bahrain in recent hours.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stressed it will "not partake in any attacks against Iran" despite being targeted "in a very unwarranted manner".

Jamal Al Musharakh, UAE ambassador to the United Nations, told reporters: "We've been very clear before and leading up to the current events we are witnessing in the region that as the UAE, we will not partake in any attacks against Iran from our territory, and that we will not be involved in such a conflict."
