The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again postponed the Class 12 in the Middle East region, i.e. in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. As per the official notice issued today (March 9), the Board has decided to postpone the examinations scheduled from March 12, 2026 (Thursday) to March 16, 2026 (Monday). The new dates shall be announced later.
CBSE has added that the Board will review the situation once again on March 14 (Saturday) and then take appropriate decisions for the remaining class 12 board exams.
"This is continuation to the circular dated 07.03.2026. After a critical review of the current situation in parts of the Middle East (Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), mental agony of the students and the prevailing uncertainties, the Board has decided to postpone the examinations scheduled from 12 March 2026 (Thursday) to 16 March 2026 (Monday). The new dates shall be announced later," the official notice from CBSE stated.
"The Board will review the situation on 14 March 2026 (Saturday) and take appropriate decisions with regard to all remaining examinations scheduled from 16 March onwards."
"All students are advised to stay in touch with their schools for updates and follow official announcements carefully."
This announcement was made by CBSE on their official 'X' account on March 9 (Monday). The latest notice is fifth of such notices in which the CBSE has been giving timely updates to all students registered for board exams in CBSE-affiliated schools in Middle East region.
CBSE has been postponing the CBSE board exams for class 10 and 12 in Middle East region since the war began in the region. As of now, new dates for the postponed exams have not been announced. CBSE will assess the situation on March 7, 2026, and issue directions regarding the examinations scheduled from March 9 onwards. Students are advised to stay in touch with their schools for updates.
