6 MISSING! Medical plane declared EMERGENCY, then dropped 13,000 Feet Massive search off Nantucket. A Latitude Air Ambulance Gulfstream G100 with six people aboard disappeared off Nantucket while flying a patient from Bermuda to Boston. The medical jet never arrived at Logan. Two pilots, two medical crew, a patient, and a relative were on board. The four crew are Canadian. The patient and relative were picked up in Bermuda. Contact was lost about 100 miles from Boston, roughly 15 minutes from landing. Radio traffic shows the crew, call sign Heartbeat 104, declared an emergency with New York air traffic control around 12:30 a.m. Boston fire crews were alerted to an electrical problem. Tracking data showed a drop from about 24,000 feet to 11,000 feet. That does not establish the cause. As of Saturday afternoon, October 3, the Coast Guard was still searching by air and sea south of Nantucket. No wreckage has been publicly confirmed, and no one has been reported found.
