As if theMiddle Eastconflict was not creating panic and stress enough among people across the world, yet another “unfortunate” incident left everyone with a new fear– that might be just around the corner! A video was shared on social media, which showed two ‘Doomsdayfish’ on the beach of Mexico. The clip was reportedly recorded in Cabo San Lucas, which showed two oarfishe on the sand, right next to the ocean waves. For those confused, these deep-sea fish are called ‘Doomsday fish’ because of their connection to ancient Japanese folklore.
As per the said folklore, it is believed that the surfacing of such deep-sea creatures on land often indicates an “upcoming natural disaster”. Such fish mostly spend the majority of their lifetime in the depths of the ocean.
Their sight amid the ongoing Middle East conflict ended up adding to the panic that is already taking over the world. The Middle East is currently facing major chaos, as Iran is attacking several Middle East nations in retaliation for the joint attack that was carried out against it by the US and Israel. The attack was launched on February 28, which also killed Iran’s then Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran is currently targeting Gulf nations with US military bases in them.
"Two massive deep-sea oarfish recently washed ashore in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. According to legend, this rare creature, often called the 'doomsday fish,' only rises from the depths of the ocean when a major disaster is about to happen," the post read.
The post was shared on Reddit by the handle ‘TheOddityCollector’. The viral post was shared today and pulled more than 1K views from people.
“Putting it back into the ocean = hitting the snooze button on the doomsday disaster,” a user said. “Ah well, guess that means double the major disaster then?” asked another person in the comment section.

“I don't believe deep-sea fish are returnable to the ocean. Surfacing destroys their internals. Nice of the gals to try, though,” commented the next person. “Doesn't it come up to die?” asked the next netizen.
“Usually, I don't listen to fish, but these guys look like they've seen the end credits of the world,” added another person. “Oarfish see something in the depths. Tries to speed evolve to run ashore. Humans keep poking it back into the ocean where the horror lurks,” added another.
