Bill Maher will never be accused of being a ‘friend of MAGA-types’ but that doesn’t mean he will apply knee-jerk opposition to all things MAGA either.
That makes him categorically different from people like Schiff and Lemon, both of whom he had on his program the other day.
If anyone looked at his leftwing voting record and assumed Bill would oppose the ripping out of Tehran’s Islamic Regime, root and branch you simply haven’t been paying attention. He’s rather pleased with that outcome, as the end of his monologue would indicate.
Adam Schiff, has adopted rigid opposition to Trump specifically, and he political right more broadly as his entire personality.
Is it any wonder Bill Maher had such an easy time baiting the trap that Adam stepped right into?

You ever look at a politician and see someone so consumed by playing their part that you wonder if they can even remember who they began as or what they once stood for?
Schiff is on the short list of examples that would come to my mind.
