Payton and Brent Williams were riding their E-Bikes in Miami when Arick Metayer drove his car into them, sending them flying off the bikes. Metayer drove away from the scene, which fatally killed Peyton, assessed his car's damage, drove to an auto repair store, and replaced his side mirror and changed the color of the doors just 1 day after the crash. Judge Mindy Glazer called Metayer a flight risk and told him, “How about you stop, and you help the people you hit. You left a child dead in the street.” Mateyer has been charged with leaving the scene of a deadly crash and tampering with physical evidence.
