Heavy rains triggered landslides across India’s northeastern state of Sikkim on Friday. The landslides damaged homes and disrupted road access in the region. Mud and rocks were swept downhill in Rimbi village on Friday, threatening houses in the landslide’s path. Sikkim received nearly twice its normal amount of rainfall over the past week.
