A tragic end for a mother and her unborn child.

A 19-year-old man from Illinois is accused of murdering a pregnant woman by stabbing her over 70 times. He is also accused of setting her on fire and killing her dog by stabbing it in the head.

Strangely, he appeared calm within hours of the murder and even tried to sleep in the police squad car that took him into custody.

The young man, Nedas Revuckas, pleaded not guilty in court earlier this week to the murder of Eliza Morales, 30 years old, and her unborn baby on January 26th. Morales lived in Downers Grove, which is a suburb of Chicago.

An Illinois man accused of stabbing a pregnant woman more than 70 times, setting her on fire and stabbing her dog between the eyes, appeared eerily calm and relaxed hours after the killing, even trying to nap while in a police vehicle taking him to jail.

Nedas Revuckas, 19, pleaded not guilty this week to the stabbing death of Eliza Morales, 30, and her unborn child on Jan. 26 in the Chicago suburb of Downers Grove.

Revuckas allegedly stabbed Morales, who was five months pregnant, and set her apartment on fire. During the attack, he also allegedly stabbed the family dog between the eyes, prosecutors said.

“The attack stemmed from a Facebook Marketplace transaction. Prosecutors said Revuckas was upset about the condition of a red 1994 Ford Ranger pickup he purchased from Morales and her husband.”Fox News Reported.

After arranging a time to meet at their apartment to return license plates and get a bill of sale, surveillance footage showed him getting a screwdriver from Morales.

Shortly after that, Revuckas entered the apartment building with the screwdriver. Surveillance footage showed him going into her apartment. Police investigators said there was a struggle inside the apartment after he entered.
