Allen Zeng, journalist and host of Fang Wei Time, joined NTD’s Steve Lance to discuss his hope that President Donald Trump will use what he calls the United States’ “soft power” of human rights in his discussions with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) leader Xi Jinping. Zeng says that if Trump plays the U.S. human rights card, it will show the Chinese people that the U.S. government cares. He also discussed why Falun Gong has been the target of the CCP’s persecution, how the regime practices transnational repression on U.S. soil and around the world, and what the United States can do to prevent it. Zeng says the CCP considers anyone who has left China to be its subject and asset, and has even abducted such people and sent them back to China. He also discussed United Front propaganda operations aimed at infiltrating U.S. institutions, influencing people to become co-conspirators, and pursuing a long-term strategy.
