A booking portal has been launched by the Foreign Office for Brits who want seats on charter flights out of the Middle East. Widespreadairspace closuresprompted by the joint US-Israeli attack onIranleft thousands of British nationals stranded in the region, including inDubai.

The Foreign Office said it will contact those who registered themselves as being in the region and the most vulnerable will be prioritised. On Saturday, it emerged that the Government will charter a commercial flight out of the United Arab Emirates to help Brits who want to leave. It will leave Dubai early this coming week subject to the situation on the ground. There will also be a charge for the flight.

A Government charter flight to bring Britons home is due to leave Muscat, Oman, on Sunday (March 8).

Over 160,000 Brits have told the Foreign Office they are in the region.

Iran continued to target Gulf countries this weekend, with one person killed overnight when debris from an aerial interception fell on a vehicle in Dubai.

At least three other people have been killed by missile debris in the city since the US andIsraellaunched their offensive on February 28.

Those who died were from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal, according to local authorities.

The United Arab Emirates urged people to stay indoors on Sunday morning as its military responded to a drone attack.
