“I want a man who’s successful.” “I want him confident.” “I want him financially stable.” “I want him attractive.” “I want him emotionally available.” “I want him loyal, ambitious, protective, funny, generous…” Okay that's great darling but what are YOU bringing to the relationship? That’s where the conversation sometimes gets interesting. This week on Boy Meets Squirrel, Lindsay and Dan are flipping the dating checklist around and asking a question that doesn’t get asked nearly as often: If you have a long list of expectations for a partner, what should that partner reasonably expect from YOU? Because standards aren’t the problem. Wanting a great partner isn’t the problem. But relationships require reciprocity, and nobody gets to walk into the relationship marketplace with a shopping list in one hand and an empty cart in the other. So we’re talking about expectations, dating standards, what men and women actually value in a partner, and why asking “What do you offer?” can suddenly make an otherwise confident person freeze. And we want YOU involved in this one. MEN: What are the three most important things you want a woman to bring to a relationship? WOMEN: What are the three most important things you believe YOU bring to a relationship? And everybody gets the bonus question: What’s one thing people commonly demand from a partner that they don’t provide themselves? Drop your answers in the comments BEFORE the show. We’ll be reading some of them LIVE. Boy Meets Squirrel LIVE Wednesdays | 4:00–5:30 PM ET Come for the conversation. Stay for the moment somebody realizes the checklist works both ways. #BoyMeetsSquirrel #Dating #Relationships #Men #Women #DatingStandards #ModernDating #MenNeedToBeHeard
