A woman went viral after explaining what she considers the “bare minimum” men should do when dating.
Pick the restaurant. Make the reservation. Arrange the ride. Pay the bill. Make sure she gets home. Follow up. Plan the next date.
Men had some thoughts.
And while there’s nothing wrong with having standards, there’s one question that always seems to disappear from these conversations:
What is she bringing to the relationship?
Today we’re having a little fun with her list, but there’s a serious point underneath it. Dating shouldn’t be one person auditioning while the other sits there with a clipboard deciding whether they made the cut.
If you want effort, bring effort.
If you want respect, bring respect.
And if you have a long list of expectations for someone else, you’d better be prepared when they ask about theirs.
