Pornhub owner Solomon Friedman tells Patrick Bet-David on the PBD Podcast how content is screened before publication. Friedman says uploads undergo documentation checks, automated screening and human moderation rather than immediately appearing on the platform.
Aylo says only ID-verified users can upload to its content-sharing platforms and that human moderators manually review every upload before publication. Content is also scanned using multiple automated detection and fingerprinting technologies. The distinction matters because pre-publication human screening is uncommon among major online platforms. Ofcom specifically cited Pornhub as an example of a service reporting that it screens all content before publication rather than relying solely on post-publication moderation. Pornhub also requires documentation beyond uploader verification. Since January 2024, Aylo says new content involving new co-performers cannot be published until IDs and signed release agreements establishing consent have been submitted through its system.
