A Missouri woman is facing three federal charges after prosecutors say she repeatedly threatened members of murder victim Austin Metcalf’s family.
According to the federal indictment, Sharifa Nicole Henderson allegedly sent messages threatening to kill a family member, place them in a body bag, and “hunt” them until they were dead. In one message, she allegedly wrote, “Now this is a threat. Take me to court.”
Prosecutors also accuse Henderson of calling the Collin County government and threatening to “demolish” the Metcalf family and strangle one of its members.
In this video, I examine all three counts, the messages quoted in the indictment, why the case was brought federally, and the prison time Henderson could face if convicted. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison.
Henderson has been charged but has not been convicted. She is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
