Comerica Park, the downtown Detroit baseball stadium that is the home of the Detroit Tigers, will be renamed Fifth Third Park ahead of next season
The renaming follows the completion of Fifth Third Bancorp’s merger with Comerica Incorporated earlier this year. This will be the first official name change for the stadium since it opened as Comerica Park in 2000
The stadium first broke ground in 1997, and the Tigers played their first game there on April 11th, 2000
