David Anderson, Commissioner at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, joined NTD's Steve Lance to discuss the commission urging President Donald Trump to call for the release of all religious prisoners of conscience inside of China. Anderson said Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping's meeting is an "action-forcing event." He expressed hope that the eight pastors and other church leaders who are still being unlawfully detained would be set free, as Chinese authorities released Pastor Ezra Jin Mingri in July, following Trump's direct personal request to Xi during talks in Beijing. Anderson discussed USCIRF's recommendation that the State Department redesignate China as a country of particular concern (CPC) over its religious freedom violations, saying he and his colleagues want China to remain on the list, be held accountable, and have prisoners be released. -- 🍀 Support NTD 👉 https://donate.ntd.com/ -- 📺 Watch NTD News 24/7 on cable, broadcast, and streaming: https://www.ntd.com/watch 🧶Exclusive Documentaries & Movies on NTD+: https://www.ntdplus.com/utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=SocialM -- 🔵Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed with NTD News. 👉https://www.ntd.com/newsletter.htm?utm_source=YouTube.
