Streams of hot lava flowed down from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano early Saturday morning (September 12) . According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the volcano has been intermittently erupting from it's north vent since September 7. The increased volcanic activity has been accompanied by tremors and small earthquakes.
