Charles Oliveira dominated Max Holloway in theirUFC 326main event to become the promotion’s fourth BMF champion.

It was all Oliveira in the opening round, who immediately swarmed Holloway with strikes before slamming ‘Blessed’ to the mat with a dominant takedown. As Holloway attempted to fight his way up, he gave up his back, allowing Oliveira to hop on like a backpack and go to work.

Oliveira attempted to lock in arear-naked chokemultiple times throughout the stanza, but ‘Blessed’ fought off the maneuver and made it out of the round.

It was more of the same in round two as Oliveira once again scored a quick takedown and spent most of the five minutes fishing for a finish. Holloway staved off the slew of submission attempts, but not before absorbing a few nasty 12-to-6 elbows as ‘Do Bronx’ controlled him from the back.

Oliveira didn’t stray from the strategy in round three, putting Holloway on his back and keeping him there for the duration.

Holloway had absolutely no answers for Oliveira’s grappling in the fourth, leaving ‘Blessed’ with only one round to come up with a comeback for the ages against the UFC’s most decorated finisher.

Despite his best efforts, including a late flurry in the final seconds of the final round, Holloway was unable to capture the same magic he delivered againstJustin Gaethje. Instead, Oliveira largely controlled the fifth — just as he’d done in the previous four rounds — to secure a decisive decision victory.

Official Result:Charles Oliveiradef.Max Hollowayvia unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) to win the BMF championship.
