Raul Rosas Jr. snatched the biggest win of his career atUFC 326, defeating Rob Font via a decisive unanimous decision.
Font found early success with this boxing, but after getting a little careless on his feet, Rosas switched levels and put the 32-fight veteran on his back with relative ease. Rosas racked up five takedowns in the first round, but he was unable to keep Font on the mat long enough to log any real offense.
Still, the takedowns and control time were enough to put Roses up on the scorecards.
It was more of the same in the second as Rosas racked up a significant amount of control time, but seemed uninterested in trying to land any damage. That trend continued in the third as Font had no answers for Rosas’ grappling game.
In the end, Rosas would earn his sixth victory inside theOctagon, though the performance probably didn’t earn him any new fans.
Official Result: Raul Rosas Jr. def.Rob Fontvia unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
