Iran’s state television reported on Wednesday that an explosion was heard in the south of the country near the strategic Strait of Hormuz. “A few minutes ago, an explosion was heard from the Strait of Hormuz. The nature of the incident or its origin has not yet been announced,” the state broadcaster said.
