Japan’s fragmented political opposition sank into deeper disarray on Wednesday as the main opposition party announced its dissolution following its failed effort to counter Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s administration. “Once we settle outstanding payments, we will dissolve the party,” Junya Ogawa, president of the Centrist Reform Alliance, told a press conference.
