September 08, 2026 BRONX, New York - Just before 2pm, FDNY responded to 911 calls for a building collapse at 475 Willis Avenue, between East 146th and East 147th Streets in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.
Two construction workers, a 28-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were taken to Lincoln Hospital with non life threatening injuries sustained during the partial collapse at a construction site after bricks reportedly fell causing scaffolding to collapse, cops said.
The New York City Department of Buildings (DOB), Office of Emergency Management (OEM), and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) also responded to the partial collapse scene.
