Professional boxer and WBC Welterweight champion Ryan Garcia joins Piers Morgan Uncensored for an exclusive sit-down interview ahead of his highly anticipated title defence against British boxer Conor Benn.
Ryan opens up about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health, including the one-year ban from boxing he received after testing positive for PEDs. He reflects on his downward spiral in 2024, saying he felt he wasn’t being given enough credit for what he had achieved in boxing and was under constant pressure from those around him.
Ryan also hits back at Conor Benn’s criticism of him as a “Gen Z kid” who has never had to suffer. He argues that the comment is ironic coming from Benn, the son of legendary British boxer Nigel Benn, and doubles down on his confidence ahead of the fight, saying it is “unbelievable” that he is getting “paid a bunch of money to beat up a beginner.”
