In a breathtaking display of political opportunism, disgraced former DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is now using terrorism threats against Americans as leverage to force Democrat control over ICE operations during the ongoing DHS shutdown.
Speaking on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power" Friday, the Florida Democrat admitted she's "worried about terrorism threats" but then immediately pivoted to demanding "multiple asks from Democrats on ICE need to be agreed to so we can reopen" the Department of Homeland Security.
Let that sink in, patriots. Wasserman Schultz – the same woman who rigged the 2016 primary against Bernie Sanders and was forced to resign in disgrace – is now literally holding America's national security hostage until Democrats get their way on immigration enforcement.
This is the woman who helped orchestrate one of the biggest political scandals in modern history, and now she's back to her old tricks. Instead of working with President Trump's administration to immediately reopen DHS and protect Americans from the "deeply concerning" terrorism risks she herself acknowledges, Wasserman Schultz is playing political games.
What exactly are these "multiple asks" that Democrats are demanding? We can only imagine it's more of the same open-borders nonsense that got us into this mess in the first place – handcuffing ICE agents, preventing deportations of criminal aliens, and rolling back the immigration enforcement that has made America safer.
This is exactly why Americans voted overwhelmingly to return President Trump to office – because they're sick and tired of Democrats putting politics over public safety. While Trump's team is working around the clock to secure our borders and remove dangerous criminals, Democrats like Wasserman Schultz are more interested in protecting their radical agenda than protecting American lives.
How many more Americans have to be put at risk before Democrats stop playing games with our national security? When will they finally put America First instead of politics first?
