Man Killed by MTA Bus After Falling Into Roadway, Bus Did Not Stop — Brooklyn

September 5th, 2026 BROOKLYN, New York - A 58-year-old man was struck and killed by a B44 MTA bus outside 1754 Nostrand Avenue. An officer was flagged down at 20:23 hours for an unconscious male in the roadway. The man made contact with the side of the bus, fell into the roadway and was run over by the rear tires. The bus continued southbound and did not remain on scene. The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
