The United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday (March 7), in his first public comments on the Iran attacks, said that his country is now “in a time of war." He vowed to fulfill the responsibility of defending the people of the UAE. In a stern message, Zayed Al Nahyan said that the UAE is not an "easy prey."

“The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh—we are no easy prey,” he said. “We will carry out our duty towards our country, our people, and our residents who are also part of our family," he added.

The UAE President also lauded the Emirati people and military for their conduct during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. "And I promise everyone that we will come back stronger and more resilient after this situation," he added, as quoted by Khaleej Times.

Notably on Saturday, Zayed Al Nahyan visited the injured people at the hospital. " I came to visit the people who were wounded in the recent events. All of these people are a responsibility on my shoulders,," he stated, as quoted by the media house.

Meanwhile, in his X post, the UAE President said, "To all those who call the UAE home and guests in our beloved nation. The UAE places its security and the protection of all citizens, residents, and visitors at the very top of its priorities. With God’s grace, the UAE is fully prepared to confront these threats. I extend my deepest appreciation to our brave armed forces, our committed security services, and all national institutions and teams working tirelessly to keep our country safe. They represent the highest standards of readiness and cooperation. We are truly proud of them."
