This partnership, which blurred the lines between public health and biodefense, was initiated after Fauci was reportedly assigned by Vice President Cheney to lead U.S. biodefense research programs in 2002. The video also references a 2003 CIA report titled "The Darker Bioweapons Future," which Fauci received, warning that biotechnology advances could be used to create more dangerous pathogens.
