September 2nd, 2026 COLUMBUS, Ohio - Mourners filled the plaza outside Columbus City Hall Wednesday evening with candles and handmade signs for Pierre Damas Bel, the 20-year-old Haitian immigrant and Wright State University honors student who died Monday after walking into traffic on Interstate 70 and being struck by a semi truck in Clark County.
