September 03, 2026 MANHATTAN, New York - Just before 1pm, a transit post officer called for back up for a man armed with a knife on the northbound platform of the 116th Subway Station near E 116th & Lexington Ave in East Harlem, NYC.
The individual was met with a heavy PD response at the station and was taken into custody.
In handcuffs and with an officer escort, the suspect was transported by EMS to an area hospital for evaluation.
