An incredible six-storeycastleworth just £47,000 is up for sale. The amazing building even comes with its ownrestaurantand elevator - but there's a catch.

The 1991 castle, located in Akabira, Hokkaido,Japan, has been listed on the market but needs fairly significant repair works. According to Houses of Japan, it requires new roof tiles and parapet repairs which cost around £37,000. Meanwhile, the current annual propertytaxis roughly £5,600.

As reported byThe Sun, the feudal-style castle is located just a short drive from the popular Furano ski resort. It also benefits from being close to airports and Sapporo.

The building is reminiscent of the white-walled, Unesco-listed Himeji Castle. They both have white walls with dark timber and layered tiled roofs.

The castle in Akabira comes with a whopping 40 parking spaces, as well as a restaurant on the second floor. The building is served by a working elevator to all six levels.

It also boasts a large garden which can double up as a private residenvr or unique venue for events. The sellers, 21Century agency, even suggest installing a moat around the castle.

Houses of Japansaid: "Ever dreamed of owning your own Japanese castle? In Hokkaido, this striking 6-story concrete and steel castle (built in 1991) is still for sale, I posted this property a while ago and with the weaker yen, it’s now even more attractive. While it’s a modern imitation rather than a feudal original, that means solid structure and relatively recent construction.
