London:As the Middle East conflict intensified, US bomber landed in Britain’s Gloucestershire after the United Kingdom allowed the use of its military bases in the Iran war. According to reports, the 146 ft B-1 Lancer arrived at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire on Friday evening (March 6).

The development came after US President Donald Trump and several UK parliamentarians criticized Prime Minister Keir Starmer for a delay in allowing the US to use the UK's military bases only for defensive strikes against Iran.

Earlier this week, Starmer defended his government’s decision not to join the Iran war. However, the UK government will not be joining the US and Israel in conducting strikes against Iran.

“We're taking action to reduce the threat with planes in the sky in the region intercepting incoming strikes, deploying more capability to Cyprus, and allowing US planes to use UK bases to take out Iran's capability to strike,” Starmet had said as quoted by BBC.

On February 28, the US and Israel launched massive airstrikes on Iran, killing its top leaders, Including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior figures, prompting a fierce response from Tehran.
