Two youth football coaches have been indefinitely suspended after an on-field confrontation escalated into a brawl during a game involving third- and fourth-grade players near Pittsburgh. The incident happened over the weekend during a game between Carlynton and Keystone Oaks. The coach, identified as 24-year-old DeQuay Canton, can be seen approaching a man associated with the opposing team. The two make contact before the other man pushes Canton backward and a referee throws a flag. Several more adults then enter the field. The video shows a woman telling Canton to leave before Canton appears to knock her arm away. Another man then approaches Canton, who tackles him to the ground and appears to punch him in the face. Canton breaks away before several people tackle him to the ground. Canton said that several of his players had approached him in tears after allegedly being called racial slurs. He said he repeatedly asked referees to investigate before he "lost his cool." The Steel City Youth Football League said it has indefinitely suspended both coaches involved while it conducts an investigation. The league said it plans to review video footage, referee reports and witness statements as part of that investigation.
