The White House on Friday posted footage of military strikes on Iran. What grabbed the eyeballs was the inclusion of snippets of Hollywood blockbusters and video games into the real-life footage.
The clip, posted on White House’s official ‘X’ handle, began with a scene from ‘Iron Man’ and the dialogue, ‘Wake up, Daddy’s home’ — perhaps a reference to an expression used by NATO chief Mark Rutte, who once called President Donald Trump ‘daddy’.
Then came clips from male actors cast as heroes, including Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick," Mel Gibson in “Braveheart," Russell Crowe in “Gladiator," Bryan Cranston in “Breaking Bad," and Keanu Reeves in “John Wick."

Actor and filmmaker Ben Stiller on Friday criticised the White House and asked it to remove a clip in the video from ‘Tropic Thunder’, a 2008 film about war movies which he directed and wrote.

U.S.-Israeli Strikes Against Iran
Amid the high-intensity strikes on Iran, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned that Iran will now face a major military operation from the forces.
Speaking on “Kudlow" on Friday, Bessent said the Washington was preparing a significant bombing campaign to target Iran’s missile infrastructure.
