Song Sung-mun of the San Diego Padres has marked his return to the majors by collecting an RBI. The Korean infielder went 0-for-2 with an RBI, a walk and a steal in the Padres' 5-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Sunday (local time). Song was called up from Triple-A El Paso just before the game and got the start at third base while batting ninth, six days after he had been sent down to the minors. The Padres brought back Song and also reinstated outfielder Samad Taylor from the injured list (IL), while placing two position players, Luis Rengifo and Gavin Sheets, on the IL. Song lined out to center in the top of the third inning and grounded out to shortstop Taylor Walls in the fifth inning. Then in the top seventh, with the Padres up 2-1, Song hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Taylor from third to give his team a two-run lead. Song was walked intentionally in the top ninth and then pulled off a double steal with Xander Bogaerts for his 13th steal of the season. The Padres gave up two runs in the bottom ninth to send the game to extra in
