Proverbs warns against being the kind of person who gets paralyzed at the imagined outcomes of danger you might face in life — ‘there’s a lion in the streets’. (Prov 22:13) Instead, Christ calls us to courage. Here’s what that courage in the face of danger looks like.

Things are heating up in Iran, and we’ve got hand-wringers warning of all sorts of different kinds of gloom and doom, practically building their bunkers to prepare for the 6th WWIII they’ve predicted in the last year.

Others are stick their heads in the sand blandly hoping it works itself out and that the secondary impacts don’t hurt us too badly.

For Christians, there’s another, BETTER option, but it’s one even preachers don’t like to talk about, because it’s the kind of muscular Christianity that decidedly is out of fashion for the folks who have replaced Sunday worship with WWE-energy entertainment on one end, or liturgical stoles that added Pride Month to the church calendar on the other.

Weird that they look past it considering this is so prominently featured in a BIG chunk of the Psalms such pastors claim to love.

Here’s the book that explains how to use those imprecatory prayers:

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Assis a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book,Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
