Man Shot in Deli Robbery By Suspect Wanted in Brooklyn Restaurant Homicide, E. 149th St. - Bronx

August 25th, 2026 - Bronx, NY: At approximately 12:16 a.m., officers from the 44th Precinct responded to 143 E. 149th St. for a shooting and robbery that took place inside a corner store. A 33-yr-old man was shot in the chest after the suspect walked into the store and just started shooting at the victim standing in front of the deli counter. The suspect then went behind the register where he took money from the store before running out and fleeing eastbound on E. 149th St. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
