AUGUST 23, 2026 Queens, NY – On Sunday, August 23, 2026, at approximately 2145 hours, police responded to a 911 call for an assault in front of 220-20 Merrick Boulevard within the confines of the 116 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old male with multiple stab wounds about the body. EMS responded and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is active and ongoing. -DCPI
