A new park golf course at World Cup Park will open next week, adding 18 holes to one of Seoul’s largest outdoor recreational facilities and giving residents more room to play amid the city’s green spaces. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will open the second course at Noeul Park on Sept. 1, with reservations beginning Tuesday at 5 p.m. through the Seoul Public Service Reservation System. The 22,000-square-meter course has 18 holes, divided into an A course of nine holes and 535 meters and a B course of nine holes and 575 meters, for a total of 1,110 meters and 66 par. The course also includes a clubhouse with heating and cooling, nearby restrooms and six pergolas for visitors. The new course follows the first World Cup Park course, which has operated since May 2010, bringing the park’s total to 36 holes. The city said the two courses could be operated together to accommodate large national competitions as well as events of varying sizes.
