AUGUST 22, 2026 Brooklyn, NY – At approximately 4:42 am the fire department advised that a tree is leaning against a sanitation truck after striking the tree and uprooting it. No serious injuries reported, according to communications. The Eastern Parkway service road remains closed from Kingston Avenue to Brooklyn Avenue until the tree is safely removed from the cab of the truck, according to communications.
