Former member of Congress Marjorie Taylor Greene joins Jimmy to say that according to her sources, U.S. officials in the Trump administration have discussed lowering the threshold for using nuclear weapons against Iran. She argues that the possibility is especially dangerous because Iran has not attacked U.S. territory, does not possess a nuclear weapon according to the sources she cites, and the war is already depleting American military capabilities while affecting fuel, food, and other living costs.
The two also criticize President Trump for dismissing the claim as “fake news” without explicitly promising that nuclear weapons would not be used. The segment concludes by arguing that the Iran war contradicts the “America First” message that Trump explicitly campaigned on and is harming ordinary Americans economically.
