Kookmin University is hosting a convergence exhibition that brings together art and engineering through Sept. 11 to mark its 80th anniversary, the university said Friday. The exhibition, titled “The Drawing,” is organized by the university’s Convergence and Open Sharing System Future Mobility Consortium. The event features students from the university’s Department of Automotive Engineering and Kyung Hee University’s College of Fine Arts, along with invited artists, to connect different fields of study and perspectives through drawing. The exhibition was launched in 2017 as part of a convergence education program that incorporates drawing into engineering education. By having students directly observe and draw automobiles and mechanical systems, the program has helped enhance their engineering observation skills and spatial awareness. Over the years, it has evolved into an exhibition that brings together engineering and art, as well as students and professional artists. This year’s exhibition is taking place at two venues. The first leg of the exhibition is being held at the BOD
