The Lindsay Clancy case has sparked an enormous conversation about postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, mental illness, criminal responsibility, and compassion.
But somewhere in that conversation, three names are too often being forgotten:
Cora. Dawson. Callan.
In this video, I look at the growing sympathy surrounding Lindsay Clancy and ask a simple but important question:
What about her children?
We can discuss mental illness and compassion while still remembering who lost their lives. Cora, Dawson and Callan weren't statistics or supporting characters in someone else's story.
They were the victims. And they deserve to be remembered.
Please share your thoughts below, but given the seriousness of this case, keep the conversation respectful.
IMPORTANT: If you're struggling with depression, emotional distress, or thoughts of suicide, please reach out for help. In the U.S., call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
